Need help with Kompas? We are happy to assist.
Contact us at support@redbeard.systems. We aim to respond within one business day (Monday to Friday, CET).
New accounts receive a one-time trial with 5 email generations in total, valid for 30 days from the first successful Microsoft-verified sign-in, plus one initial writing-style analysis. There is no monthly refill and no automatic paid conversion. A paid subscription starts only when you explicitly purchase it.
The allowance is reserved immediately before contacting AI. Once reserved, the attempt stays used even if the request fails, times out or is interrupted before a response arrives, including a server interruption between reservation and transmission. Invalid input, expired Microsoft tokens and other preflight failures do not use an allowance. The initial analysis can process English and Dutch once each, within bounded input and output limits. A failed AI analysis is not automatically refunded or repeatable for free. Signing in again, reinstalling, changing organization or deleting a style profile does not renew the trial. Existing accounts are not automatically enrolled.
Open the Kompas task pane in Outlook and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account. Kompas requests access to your mail through Microsoft Graph; you can revoke this at any time from your Microsoft account settings.
Kompas in Outlook.com does not automatically follow the email you select. For each different email, close Kompas and reopen it from the email you want to work on.
In supported Microsoft 365 Outlook apps, use Outlook's pin at the top right of the Kompas pane to follow emails. No pin, or the subject does not match? Close Kompas and reopen it from the desired email. Check the subject and sender shown in Kompas before generating or using a reply.
Kompas analyses a sample of your sent emails to capture your tone, greetings, closings and vocabulary, per language. Email samples are sent to the AI backend for analysis. Kompas stores the resulting style profile and can also store a signature detected in your sent emails or supplied through Outlook or Settings. Your initial trial includes one analysis only. Re-analysis requires an eligible paid or explicitly granted entitlement. See our Privacy Policy for details of processing and stored data.
Remove the add-in via Outlook's manage add-ins screen. Disconnect in Settings is a sign-out action, not a data-deletion or subscription-cancellation action; it also initiates Microsoft sign-out. To request deletion of your Kompas data, email support@redbeard.systems. Deletion requests are handled manually.
